A 241 Horsepower 2.0-liter powers the X2 xDrive28i turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while the M35i xDrive is a hot-rod X2. The M35i’s turbo four produces 312 horsepower thanks to improved engine internals and increased boost pressure. When equipped with all-season tires, both models have a top speed of 130 mph; however, improving the performance of the summer tires increases the M35i xDrive’s top speed to 155 mph. Still, the X2 is fun to drive, especially in M35i trim.

We think the xDrive28i variant is the most efficient X2, as it gets 24 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.
