The 2025 Chevy Equinox is a compact SUV that is larger than the previous model. The new Equinox gets a different redesign for 2025. This fourth edition of the Equinox comes with an updated engine and more technology features. The 2025 Equinox launch will also compete with the best SUBs in its class, including the Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-50, and Volkswagen Tiguan. This is what we know so far about the 2025 Chevy Equinox. If you are still curious about the 2025 Chevy Equinox, let us discuss it in as much detail as we know.

2025 Chevy Equinox Redesign

Compared to the previous model, the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox has a considerably more robust exterior. The new Equinox’s design differs according to trim level, although all trims have a similar tough body cladding, a square grille divided by a Chevy bowtie, and a black piece connecting the rear windows on the C-pillar. Additionally, the Equinox has R-shaped taillights, narrow LED headlights, and a blacked-out D-pillar. The RS has minor cosmetic changes that give it an athletic appearance, while the optional Activ trim has a somewhat more rugged design.

The Equinox is roughly the same size year-over-year, though an extra inch of rear headroom means it’s slightly more accommodating to taller backseat passengers. Cargo figures also remain the same, so the Equinox will offer an adequate, but not class-leading, amount of room behind the rear seat.

Powertrain configurations differ based on drive mode, with front-wheel drive models seamlessly integrated with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Competitors to consider

There’s no lack of good substitutes in the small crossover market. The Mazda CX-50 and Honda CR-V are close to the top of our rating of compact SUVs as of publication. The Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, Subaru Forester, and Toyota RAV4 are along for the ride, which isn’t too far behind. Other premium competitors provide hybrid or more powerful engine options, so you are not limited to Equinox’s one-size-fits-all approach.
